What a great weekend! Kat and I had a great time. Friday, true to form, we went to BW3's and enjoyed Wild wings and onion rings. They had 2 football games on and the guys were being obnoxious, so we didn't stay as late as we wanted. We headed to the local Starbucks and enjoyed a late night caffiene buzz. We talked for hours and got all caught up. The next morning Kat picked me up and we stopped at the Olive Garden for lunch. Next we took a drive to Brown County and made a detour to the National Park, where we stopped for some pictures and enjoyed our surroundings. Then we headed for the shops. Kat bought some really cute shirts and even though she tried to buy me one, I declined. We window shopped for a few hours and then stopped for some handmade ice cream. By then it was starting to get toward dinner time so we headed back to Indy. The drive back was a little silent. I was really sad that her visit was so short and went by so quickly. Now I can only look forward to my visit to Florida, hopefully sometime in January.
Sunday Suz and I went to Pet Smart and bought some more fish. We also bought the dogs special treats and lots of rawhide chewies. We got our grocery shopping out of the way and just wanted to relax and watch some t.v. for a few hours. We decided to eat out that night and went to Smokey Bones. We both had the pulled pork sandwich, which was absolutely delicious!
Monday morning we got up early and met some friends for a bike ride to Bean Blossom. What a great ride. The roads are curvy and the trees are beautiful. We rode over 100 miles and we had a great leader. He took us through alot of backroads that offered beautiful scenery. By afternoon, my butt was numb and I was ready for some lunch. Unfortunatley, everyone, except us, had plans that afternoon, so we broke off and went our own way. We stopped for lunch at Steak N Shake and had a cheeseburger and shared a Carmel Macchiato Milkshake. It was devine. Between the both of us, we coudn't even finish the shake. I was so full, I thought I was going pass out. We rode by the Apple Orchard to see if they were open (they weren't), then headed back home to recover. We kicked up our feet and relaxed until dinner time. Then I made my famous Ribeye steaks and Artichokes.
All in all, I had a great weekend. Thanks Kat for spending time with me and for that magnificent bottle of Merlot. I hope you had as much fun as I did!
